Ideal backpacking combi: EOS 100D + 24mm 2.8 stm
2

Last month I travelled through Indonesia with my backpack. My old 40d with zoom lense was way too heavy so I ended up buying the smallest DSLR I could find: The Canon EOS 100D. Although it's a camera from 2013, I really needed a Canon, a small formfactor and I preferred the touch screen over the 1200/1300d. I did bring my 50mm 1.8 II but most of the time (especially in the streets of Jakarta) my new 24mm 2.8 stm was on there. THIS PACKAGE IS SO SMALL!! It feels like a large lightweight compact. Great for backpacking!

If Canon would introduce a 2016 version in this size I would buy it in a heartbeat!

Some of my pics from Jakarta:
