NX1/NX500 mod: trying to disable powersave in mod_gui

Hi,

I sometimes like to leave power saving features to 30 sec screen off, and 1 min sleep. However, using mod_gui menu does not "count" as using the camera, so it goes black if I take too long in that menu.

That's not something that happens often, but I thought I might tackle this slight annoyance anyway. I tried disabling power saving before entering the menu and re-enabling it after, but it didn't fully work.

Am I missing some point about changing settings through 'st' (or maybe my issue is specific to 'st app nx menu' or any "level" in between)?

Here's my first attemp in EV_EV.sh:

...

st app nx menu powersave off

sync

/opt/usr/nx-on-wake/mod_gui /opt/usr/nx-on-wake/main

sync

st app nx menu powersave on

sync

...

Don't know if the 'sync' are needed here. While it successfully leaves my camera awake during mod_gui, power saving is not re-enabled on exit. The camera just stays awake indefinitely.

I replaced the last line above with a bit of cargo cult:

sync; sync; sync

Not any better.

Workaround: pressing menu button twice and (enter and exit the real menu) re-enables power saving settings as they should. I haven't tried performing other actions that might work too.

Sure, if I replace the last sync with

st key click menu; st key click menu

to simulate my workaround, then it works fine, but it takes 1-2 seconds and most important, bringing up and closing the real menu on mod menu exit is plain ugly!
