Guitar pick photography

I run a guitar-related website (diy-fever.com) and often times I need to take a photo of some gear that I'm writing an article on. Recently I've been reviewing a bunch of different pick models and needed semi-decent photos to post with the reviews. I know very little about product photography and and I'm not even aiming at that professional look, since it's more of a personal blog, but I want photos that stand out. Yesterday I played with my camera and tried photographing picks together with my girlfriend's bracelet, to add some sparkle and interest. I think they came out decent. The first one uses only natural light. A few rays of light coming through the window made the bracelet sparkle. For the second one I used a phone LED light to illuminate the bracelet from the top.
Cheers,
Bane
