So I found recently that when I went to get pics off the CF with adapter the comptuer didn't recognize the card or thought it was corrupted, no problem, was super old adapter, so i bought a new transcend one. Now it's doing the same thing so I thought hey, I'll just connect it USB to the computer however it doesn't see it properly.

When I connect and turn the camera on it just shows under Other Devices in Device manager, can't find a suitable driver for it and i haven't found one on Canon's website. So how do I get the pictures off orrrrr am I boned?

I'm also running win 10 64 bit, was able to get the pics off the CF with adapter before. I even tried doing that regedit thing and using the eos utility updater but that doesn't recognize the camera (probably because the driver itself cannot be found)

I have same problem with my Canon and Panasonic cards. Win 10 usually is fixed by a reboot. Seems better since latest updates though. Always use the remove hardware tool or it can mess up again after not using it and pulling a card out.
