Why the double image?

I wanted my camera to take a selfie. Just shooting straight into the mirror and primarily the lens is visible. So instead, I used two mirrors at 90 degrees, macro lens, and camera at 45 degrees to the horizontal mirror. The result though is a double image? I thought because of image sterilization so I turned it off but no difference? Any ideas of why this happens? Something to do with different reflections I imagine? A bit  easier to see with the dark background in the second image. Thanks for any help.
