To find out which film simulation you used, download and open MyFinePix Studio. Right-click on the image, select Tools>Exif Information. The choice of Film Simulation is toward the bottom of the list. If it's not shown, then the picture was taken with Classic Chrome.

As for pastels, you can try:

  • PRO Neg Std -- noticeably desaturated colors with very gentle treatment of shadows, resulting in a bit of a washed-out appearance
  • PRO Neg Hi -- slightly desaturated colors but with "normal" tone curve
  • Astia -- slightly increased blue levels, giving somewhat desaturated skin-tones but vivid blue skies
  • Classic Chrome -- somewhat desaturated with increased contrast due to hard treatment of shadows, emphasizing tonal differences while retaining color information. Also a bit of color twist, especially noticeable in blue skies becoming cyan

If you use film-simulation bracketing, you can apply three of these to a single capture to see which one you like best.

You also can play with the Color, Shadow, and Highlight controls.
