Off camera Yongnuo YN600EX-RT speedlite without transmitter?

Hey guys,

This is my first post on here (so go easy) although I have been soaking up a lot of information from all the threads for a little while now... I haven't been able to find the thread that answers my questions (or I just didn't look hard enough this time)

I am about to purchase my first speedlite.

I have done my research and intend on buying the Yongnuo YN600EX-RT as the price difference from the model below it, is that insignificant compared to the Canon comparisons and their price differences - that I thought, "why the hell not go for the top of the line".

I am also going to buy myself a nice softbox and a stand, so I can shoot some portraits with the flash off camera and broaden my horizons!

I have a Canon 760D (Rebel t6s for those non Aussie's) which has the wireless transmission/master flash controls built in to the camera.

So my questions are; whether or not the Yongnuo speedlite will be compatible with that function of my camera?

If not, I will then have to get a transmitter to make it work off camera?

And, if they are compatible, are there any benefits of using a transmitter anyway or will there be any downfalls in not using a transmitter?

Thanks in advance people!

MD.
