Re: Fuji Far Behind Your Canon on Flash Capability

This is very interesting and an old topic for me. The biggest post I ever had was on this topic 18 months ago when I wrote a long piece about using off-camera radio controlled Speedlites with Canon vs Fuji. I have five Canon 600EX-RT Speedlites. I shoot them off-camera and usually TTL, radio controlled. The only reason I have not sold all of my Canon gear is because of this issue. I still shoot the Canon FF when I want to use off-camera radio-controlled Speedlites and TTL.

Fuji is far behind Canon (light-years) on flash capability. Many will respond and state that they don't need TTL and that there are other non Fuji market solutions to shoot off-camera radio controlled flash with Fuji cameras. I know that. But the fact remains that Fuji is far behind in this arena. It is the only reason I still have my closet full of Canon gear and all those big L lenses.

I agree Greg.   I am still keeping my Canon 5Dm3, 600EX-RT's, and L-Lenses primarily for this same reason.   There are times when I shoot my speedlites on manual, but there are many times when I need the speed and flexibility of wireless TTL.
