The GX7 and GX8 both have very good electronic shutter options (12 bit read-out), so image quality with eshutter can be quite good. Only issues are lights that turn on and off rapidly (many cheap LED lights do this, and florescent lights do this at 60hz) -- and helicopter blades

The GX85 shutter seems like a great solution as well, but I hope that doesn't derail Pany from adding EFCS.

I don't use the GX8 "auto" mode for shutter shock, but that's because I never have had issues with the GX8 and shutter shock (and I've tested for it, and can even find ways to reproduce it if I want to.) Knowing how it occurs allows you to relatively easily avoid it. If you can't avoid it, shoot in the low speed burst mode (to minimize blackout), and only some portion will show SS, even with the worst lenses in the worst shutter speed ranges.

I think it may be over-reported to a degree, but it seems to be a real issue with the combo I mentioned. Check out slrgear's report of it and photos half way down the page, it's terrible. And slrgear is a site I like and trust with lens reviews. They were getting blurred photos even using a tripod.

Yes, they're fairly trustworthy. No doubt it is a real issue at times and with certain lenses. Like I said, I can't believe that Pany hasn't already included EFCS.
