GX85 EVF and 12-35 f/2.8 Questions

Attracted by the new IBIS (including the dual-IS opportunities with certain Lumix lenses) and (maybe) the new no-AA filter element, this old guy is about ready to move (on) from my GX7 to the GX85.

My EVF question: I've not used or particularly needed the tilt feature of the GX7 EVF so the fixed GX85 EVF is not an issue, but I've read on some DPR forum post that the GX85's EVF is smaller than the GX7's. Has that been a problem for many others than than for the one post I read. It does not seem logical that the GX85 which is a tiny bit higher and wider than the GX7 (but noticeably not as deep), would need a smaller EVF to fit it into the body. Of course, Fixing the EVF makes some design sense in the shallower GX85 body.

My lens question: I've been pretty happy with my older 14-45 kit zoom, but a bit of GAS and the current price reduction talked me into the 12-35 f/2.8. The 14-45 is pretty modest in size, but I'm wondering just a bit if the heaver, more bulky 12-35 will be a bit ungainly on the GX85's body, especially with the GX85's more shallow depth. (I've played with the GX85's diminished (compared to the GX7) grip in-store, but I can live with that compromise and expect, as I have with my other Panasonic bodies, to add a Gariz or similar leather half-case when they become available (those half-cases have subtly improved each grip for me).
