Re: One Month Traveling with the X-Pro 2

Great Photos.

The lenses you have is what I'm using for my travel setup (with the addition of the 55-200).

I just did a trip to Chile/Argentina with the 18-55.  I was working so I only had a few hours to tour.  (I'm luck that my day job takes me around the world, but unlucky that I can only typically stay M-F, or a few days in each city).  I got fuji since I needed to travel light (I carry a work computer, iPad, etc.) so lugging a DSLR isn't practical.

I was luck in Argentina to get a photo tour of the city and the photographer had the 14mm. She lent it to me.  What a great lens.   I literally bought the 14mm in the airport on my flight home.

My 35 f2 is on backorder but would be my "light" kit for dinners or quick trips.  I'm also planning a family trip to Disney and the 35 f2 would be perfect light carry in the parks.

I'm amazed at the fuji system.  Is the fastest?  No.  Does it have the flash or features of the Nikon d800 with a 70-200? No.  Can you carry it all day, get excellent photos out of the camera.  YES!!  My wife would never be able to hold up a D800 with 24-70 or 70-200 for long.  Especially with a flash.  She loves the x-pro2.  I also like that while there is debate about what lenses to get, very rarely are you debating the quality of 6 version of a 50mm or 85mm lens.  They all are generally very good!
