Audio Meters, and Auto Gain Control Issues 700d: Question.

Hello

I have turned my audio levels to manual and I have also droped the level in the camera to well below half to almost zero.

When testing the audio - I note that using the Rode Filmaker Kit Wireless Mic, although the mic sounds lovely and compressed and nice, it does suck the surrounding air up during non speech bits.

What this means that when I stop speaking the room noise or "car noise" on the recording lifts. You can actually see it in the wav form.

I tried downloading and installing Magic Lantern to disable the AGC - using the menu, yet there was an error.

I also was unable to activate the audio levels and metering on this camera using magic lantern.

Do you know of any advice kindly my kind EOS experts.

Slightly tempted to send this camera back and buy one that allows audio metering and does not have AGC.. yet I note all DSLRs have auto gain control right?

Love your help
