I bought an open box white NX500 for a decent price (520 or something) almost two months ago, but waited for my friend to come back from the states to bring it with her. It arrived just in time for my road trip through Andalusia, what a great way to test a new camera! Although locations were picture perfect, the trip wasn't ideal for photography because we were part of a group of almost 40 people and the way it was organized, we visited almost all locations between noon and 3-4PM which is the worst time to shoot and the most crowded. Still, I loved the NX500. Everything is one or two notches better than NX300 (which I also took with me). The screen is spectacular (I always found NX300 screen to have a bit dull colors and not enough sharpness). It responds faster. Having extra 8MPs comes in handy, there's tons of details and in case I need to crop there's more pixels to work with. Dynamic range seems to be noticeably better than NX300. I used 12-24mm and 30mm lenses and put the 16-50mm PZ on NX300 for my girlfriend to play with.
Not sure why they changed the direction of buttons when going through images and they flipped the SD card slot compared to NX300. I always get it wrong the first time
A couple of photos from my facebook feed. JPEG compression is evident, but should be good enough.
