The comparison linked to by Rob really does say it all insofar the technical differences between the two 35mm Fuji options.
I would add that in my experience a larger difference exists than is described, and that has to do with the very different "ambience" when using the lenses.
Perhaps my copy of 35mm F1.4 is a weak one but if so I don't think it differs by much from the rest. Mounted onto either my X-Pro2 or onto my XT-1 the older lens is quite a bit slower to find its focus than the new one and far noisier while doing so - it hunts in and out with a distinctive clatter and hum when the available light is lower than full daylight. The new 35mm F2.0 though is quiet and efficient while focusing in any light. Almost never hunting it locks focus nearly as quickly as I half press the shutter. Very much a different usage experience,
I'm going to keep them both but although I do enjoy the older lens and it's quirks I think for almost all things I'll be going with the new one.
