Hi Nick, this lens was more than I expected.  I stand corrected.   And as lightweight as it is, would take up little room or add much weight in the gear backpack.   I can see myself getting a lot of use out of this for flowers, both cultivated and wild types.    

Probably not cropped, but did you apply much/any PP to these?

No cropps, and only slight sharpening on some of these.  No other PP, except to reduce file size to post here.

Will keep an eye out for the next group, Mike.

No flower pics in the next Tamron 90 lens post.   I did manage to use it as a portrait lens on 1 animal, and a bird, too.
