Fuji, Please Fix Your Aperture Ring Tension.. So Inconsistent !
4

In case the Fuji reps read this forum I would hope Fuji would address their "loose" and inconsistent aperture ring tension. I've had all the X bodies and a lot of Fuji glass. It is really disappointing to take a new lens out of the box and find that the aperture ring wants to just move on it's own. Tension way to loose. For the kind of work I use my Fuji's for, this problem is really getting old.

I've used Fuji lenses (including enlarger leneses) forever it seems. They make great glass and there is really no reason they can't get the mechanics of their aperture rings right with the proper tension. My latest example was with the 16mm f/1.4 prime. Out of the box the optics were excellent, but the aperture ring unacceptably loose and I've had to return the lens. COME ON FUJI.. YOU CAN DO IT .. PLEASE !

Thanks for listening to my rant.. :-).

PS - The 35mm f/2 prime aperture ring tension is PERFECT..
