Choosing between EM 10 II and Pany G7 for learning video

Hi there,

I'm looking to buy a decent camera as I am trying to teach myself video shooting and editing.

After much research I've narrowed it down to the Panasonic G7 14-42 lens and the Olympus EM10 mark II with the 14-42 pancake lens. I'm basically looking for a camera that will allow me to learn but that I can also grow into.

There are things I love and hate about both, so I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I like the fully articulating LCD on the Pany as well as the fact it has a mic port. It's a bit chunkier, which is a bit of a downside as I would like to be able to carry the camera around for unexpected shoots.

I really like the look and build of the Olympus but I don't want to be swayed by how pretty it is! Considering I probably won't be using any huge tripods other than small handheld ones, I really like the sound of the 5 axis stabilisation.

I know the G7 has 4k, which arguably automatically puts it higher up for video shooting, but I don't know how much different it would really make if you'd be exporting in 1080 - and you'd just end up with huge files.

Let me know what you think, which one should I go for?
