Checked out the X-Pro 2 today - have a few questions

I stopped by my local camera store today and checked out an X-Pro 2 with the 23mm F1.4 lens. I currently shoot with a Sony A7RII with Zeiss 55 f1.8 (and 35mm f2.8). I love the files and quality of the Sony, but I don't get much of an emotional feel when using it, it almost feels like a computer more than a camera. I primarily shoot for myself when I travel and just street stuff, so the 42MP is kinda overkill.

Couple questions, if anyone has gone from an A7RII to a X-Pro 2, do you have any words of wisdom? I understand the image quality will be a little less, but I'm sure it will be good enough.

What I like about the Fuji is the confidence I have in the build. The Sony feels a bit delicate to me, and it occasionally gets an error that scares me. I also worry about the longevity based on all the gizmos it has, such as the IBIS, when knocking it around. I like that the Fuji is weather sealed (is that correct?) so I can use it in the drizzle.

Also, when I tried putting the X-Pro 2 on electronic shutter, it made a slight squeak noise when taking an exposure, in contrast to the Sony being completely silent. Is that expected?

How is battery life compared to the Sony?

And last thing, I noticed the the EVF display would recess when it switches to the back screen. Is there a way to set it to always be in the viewfinder, but it can just turn off digitally so when I put my eye on it, it doesn't need to physically move back into place?

Thanks!
