I have both and would go with the 35mm f2. Better build, aperture ring, little bit sharper with slightly better contrast and faster for low light. Most importantly (for me), I grew up with the 50mm focal length. Back in my day, SLRs came with 50mm F2 or F1.8. Zooms were few and far between and not very good so most of us just stuck to the nifty 50 and moved our feet. Even better, with the sale price, I believe the 35mm f2 is priced at $299.00, on heck of a deal.
Yes, for now. I have an XE1 and a X Pro 1. The 27mm on the XE1 is certainly a nice compact package. I am waiting to see the 23mm f2. If it is small, light weight and priced right, I might find another home for the 27mm.
Lmendy do you find there is enough of difference to keep both?
