I converted a Pentax 50-135mm SDM to screw drive.

Hi folks,

I already have a good Pentax 50-135mm f/2.8 SDM lens.

A few months ago I bought a bad one from ebay for about US $250 with the intention of converting it to screw drive. However, I could never make any sense out of all of the explanations of doing the conversion...until now.

How TO Convert SDM to Screw Drive

I had to try it about 5 times because I was reading one little thing wrong. It was easy after I finally figured out what I was reading wrong.

I used my K-5 to do the conversion. Now it works in screw drive on any of my cameras.

I have a Pentax 16-50mm f/2.8 that takes a while to warm up. I might end up converting this one also.
