When you take photographs, do you want the picture's technology and "look" and other aspects of how the lens bends the light to be a prominent part of the picture?

If so, get the 24mm lens and your shots will look "wide angle."

But if you want the content of the picture to be more important than the look as determined by physics? The 28's main benefit is that it gets more stuff in the picture without making the picture look weird.

There are still perspective rules to follow, but a 28 can be pretty easily managed.

I spent years taking pictures for newspapers and business magazines with a 35mm lens, a 50, and a 100, each of which did not result in special effects, etc.
