Hi guys.

Yesterday I was intend to shoot some very complex scenes for my friends/clients and I use hack for this kind of work from very first vasiles bitrate hack v1 through all KS versions since they were released. Well, I don't want to claim any strong statements, but for me this video pretty much sums up NX1 higher bitrates motion cadance of complex scene. Don't worry, the light was okay, the strobing from actual strobes.

Youtube video withoud audio due to possible copyright error and footage is heavy graded also. Here is the untouched original cuts with sound, first one with tripod, second one handhelded:

The cuts were made via this utility without any recoding, just simple cut and save.

NX-KS mod-pack v 1.59m
UHD@30 180 mbps with audio

Nice work !

Have a question about "motion cadance" though.
Is that when you don't have a proper "shutter angle"?
(assuming no dropped frames nor playback issues)

Thanks!

Motion cadance - yes, mostly it's about shutter speed and related setings like exposure time, frame rate and so on. On a film. But with digital cameras it's always somewhat wider problem, well if you use RAW I presume it gets closer to film on this matter, but with any codec - there is another kind of story, I think it's codecs work with "

inter-frame interpolation and improved intra prediction within the same picture, improved motion vector prediction and motion region merging, improved motion compensation filtering, and an additional filtering step called sample-adaptive offset filtering

- and you see, it's quote from wiki about HEVC. So basically there is only HEVC which can do that kind of work more eficcient way and with high IQ, I think. Well, I like to think that with bitrate hack this "codec-related motion cadence" thing is very improved actually, but I don't want to lie here, so I just have cautious assumption about it. Maybe some tests will work, and I did that footage also for this matter. Need more info.
