Fuji XE-1 and what lens...?
May 13, 2016
Hi guys. I've been thinking about getting a used Fuji XE-1 and one good lens for street and portrait photography. I love the compactness of the XE1 and that I could finally get back to using an aperture ring, shutter dial and manual focus lenses. My question is, what lenses do you guys use and/or recommend? I am tempted by either the Fuji 35 f2 or 35 f1.4. Both look like stellar lenses. however I've read that if I want to go full manual focus (which I do) I should avoid the 'focus my wire' lenses. I want to end up with a field of view equivalent to about 50mm (in full frame) so a 35mm lens makes sense. However older MF lenses like Nikkor, Canon FD and Zuiko OM will require a large X mount adaptor, which starts to become a bit bulky. I'd like to get other's opinions on this please.
