Workflow going full Android - Anyone on an Intel Z8300 chip?
May 11, 2016
Snapseed has kidnapped me.
It is as fast as anything else out there, opens DNG RAWs, provides live editing in realtime, includes a big chunk of Nik filters, with it's touch interface it's light years ahead of anything else when it comes to editing speed, and it will also run on my smartphone.
AND IT'S FREE! So is RAW2DNG (where I convert my camera RAWs to something Snapseed can read).
The cherry on top is my RSI is gone on a permanent vacation.
But I can't stay much longer on the smartphone.
I'm sourcing a tablet and the runner up (Chuwi Hi12) has an Intel Z8300 chip. Sure, I could much better but the LCD is part of the equation and so is the budget.
Has anyone tried Snapseed on a Z8300? Does it provide live feedback of filters? Is it fluid enough?
TIA.
