Got a small, pocketable, versatile camera with fast operation and excellent ergonomy and lost the far superior IQ. Fortunately I have my DP2m

I hate after Foveon everything seem so flat and plastic. And I hate I can't use Foveon for everything.

I also replaced a DP1M with a GR. Very happy with the switch.

The DP1M never really impressed me as much as the DP2M or DP3M, the lens just can't keep up in the corners. With the DP2M and DP3M you get this amazing opportunity to zoom around anywhere in the image and it's just sharp. The DP1M didn't have that.

I have plenty of shots taken with the DP1M and the Ricoh GR3 UWA adaptor (21mm equiv) that say otherwise, but maybe you had a bad one.

With the GR I have a tiny camera with about as good image quality as you can get from a APS-C Bayer setup. It complements my DP2M wonderfully, giving me wide angle and high iso shots when I need them, and it shares the same battery so the two of them (and the GR wide converter) makes for an amazing travel kit.
