Advice Needed

Hello all,

We bought a Sony a5000 a couple of years ago due to we got our first daughter.

Based upon usage over the years, we have found the camera not to meet our usage criterias so I am looking for some advice to see if the G9x or the G7x (mark 2) would be an alternative.

Basically our concerns about the A5000 are;
Struggling low light autofocus (Indoor environment, no assist beam nor flash)

Chunky and also a seperate lens cap to remember

Useless LCD in low light

In addition, it should be said that our purpose was not to use additional lenses. What actually made me buy this camera from the beginning was the specifications and its large sensor along with a good price tag. I know that this camera out performs the above mentioned in many areas due to specs, but what is that worth when it in practicallity does not perform (or at least to our experience level in photography). It should also be said that we do not use any manual controls, just automatic and program.

We basically look at the photos on the computer and print them out on regular prints (10x13, 10x15 cm).

The price level of the G9x and its size is quite tempting, the G7X mark 2 is a little bit to expensive but it is all a matter of prioritizations.

I know it is hard, but do you think we will ahve a better experience with a G9x/G7x than the a5000?Any thoughts?
