Dark is Best for Photos
5

I've been trying both the new "light" theme and the traditional "dark" theme on and off for a couple of weeks now. And I have come to the conclusion that, for this website, Dark is Best.

Why? Simply, this website is all about photos, and they stand out better against a darker background. The same reason most of us work in subdued light when editing images in Photoshop. And built into our very souls from the days when the only way to enjoy a 35mm slide show, was in a fully darkened room.

Yes, the web is bright and brash these days, but for DPREVIEW, I think the dark theme reigns supreme.
