Pentax 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6 ED defect? (Pixel Shift resolution sample)

Hi all,

Recently I bought the K-3 II with lens 16-85mm. This is my first Pentax (many years with Nikon and lately with Canon) and I'm impressed with it. Compared with my previous camera (Canon 7D) the improvement in image quality is significantly better (Especially with PS mode) and I want to invest more on Pentax system.

Despite this in tests I have performed for controlling the lens I noticed that the right frame is very soft compared to the left and the center. The same results were found in either normal or PS mode.

There is another menber who has faced the same problem with this lens;

Is it possible that there is a problem with the camera and not with the lens; Unfortunately I do not have another lens to try so please give your thoughts and advice.

Regards.
