Re: 760D: No IP address from camera for Oneplus One
I just ran through this on my new 80D and was able to get it to work. While my camera is newer than yours, it also worked on my G16 so I don't think that Canon's wireless functions have changed between your camera and mine.
However, my phone is running Android 6.0, not Cyanogen. Cyanogen is only based on Android 4.4 so there may be enough differences to keep Camera Connect from working. (I don't know if the old EOS Remote utility would work any better; I haven't tried it.)
I like to have my camera talk directly to my phone so that I can use the two together when I am not at home. So here is what I did:
First, I reinstalled Camera Connect to make sure that no old settings remained. Then I disconnected (Forget) from my home WiFi connection. Now I was ready to start.
1) Enable WiFi on camera. It wanted to connect to my home WiFi so I chose Disconnect, exit
2) The next screen that shows up is "WiFi-Function" with icons for various connection; I chose the phone icon.
3) Then I chose Easyconnect. This sets the camera to talk directly to the phone. There is no IP involved.
4) The camera displayed the name of the network and an encryption key.
5) On my phone, I waited until the name of the connection displayed in step 4 showed up in the WiFi section. After selecting the camera connection, I then entered the encryption key as the passphrase.
6) I started up Camera Connect and was able to see the pictures on the camera and was able (using the Send pictures to phone function) to transfer pictures from my camera to my phone.
If these steps don't work for you, then I suspect that Camera Connect does not work properly on Cyanogen.
