On Sunday it was sunny when i woke and i the cherry blossoms were blooming on some local trees so i decided to go back to the cherry tree in my last post above (that was taken 3 years ago) to see if i could replicate a sunstar shot. Last time i used my 6 month-old 650D, this time i used my 2-day old 6D. I decided to have a bit of fun and try different lenses.

Here are the results [the images were resized but otherwise unedited]:

EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM

EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM

EF 28mm f/1.8 USM with Kenko ND4 filter

EF 40mm STM pancake

It was fascinating to see the different stars, though looking into the bright sun was probably not the wisest task to do for my eyes and the camera...
