Samyang f2.8/14mm corners

Question for people who used/use this lens for astro: how bad corner softness at f2.8 is still OK for this particular purpose? I bought this lens for my upcoming trip to Red Rocks, NV and Death Valley CA to try to get into night/astro landscape photography. So i did a couple of quick shots in my back yard and the corners at 2.8 are just horrible... The center seems OK. The corners do improve at f8, get decent at f11 but that are not the kind of f-values you do astro with, as far as I understand Kindly take a look at the crops below, is it just a bad copy that should go back to B&H, or am I expecting too much? Sorry for the most boring image ever, just a quick take. Oh, and all corners are pretty much the same quality, so I guess no de-centering...

full frame @2.8

corner @2.8

corner @5.6

Center at f2.8

Notice that even f22 is better than f2.8!

Thank you for your time, and any advice is highly appreciated.
