Hi,

Currently I've Canon 50 f1.8(Which performs really well), Canon 55-250(Very poor with image quality) and almost dysfunctional 18-55 on Canon 550D body. I am planning to buy Canon 80D. I gad enough of poor image-quality of 55-250, now I am really focusing on sharpness and image quality of imagesfor my general purpose lens. But I still have this confusion going on, which lens should I adopt for Canon 80D, Canon 17-55 f/2.8 or Canon 15-85 f/3.5-5.6?

I am looking for working on stock projects now.

Please help.

If you need best IQ get full frame..a secand hand 6D is cheaper than a new 80D  and get prime lenses or an exceptional zoom like the canon 24-70ii.......sharp primes on my shopping list are sigma 20mm f1.4 art...just got the canon 35mm f2is and looking to replace my 50/1.4usm with the sigma 50 i.4 art ...canon 85mm f1.8 amd 100mm f2

but what one thinks is "tack sharp" another may not ..i think the 50f1.8 is only tack sharp above F2.8 ...although very good for the price
