I'm planning to use my PM2+17mm in the paddock, and then "something" by the track or for details. Seems likely that this "something" will depend on what deal I find in the used market.

I had the 14-140mm mounted on my GM5, occasionally switching to the PL25mm for crowd shots. And then my GH3 had the 100-300mm attached - that was for the airshow and longer track shots.

Sorry amipal but starkus is going to Festival of Speed and will not need a long telephoto zoom unless he's planning on photographing the Red Arrows or off road time trials.

Unlike Revival which is a homage to 40's, 50's and 60's car racing, FOS is about cars doing lap times. I think there are four tracks and each track is designed for different type of vehicles or cars. Unlike Revival, with FOS people can get close to the action and this is why the 35-100 is good enough but the 40-150mm 2.8 is the best suited with the extra reach.

I'm going to Festival of Speed this year and I'm thinking of going to Revival too!. The only problem I got is deciding if or what I should take extra. I'm taking the GH3 + 12-35 and the GH4 + 35-100. Should I take a flash gun, 45-150, GM1 with 25mm for subject isolation?

Personally I would love to take a bag of primes with me. Since the event is going to be crowded and I'm going with a group then the 12-35 is the better option.
