I agree, Wayne. The Minolta XD-line were fantastic. I've had the Minolta XD7 (in USA known as XD11) with 3 Rokkor MD lenses: 20mm F2.8, 50mm F1.7 and the 75-200 Zoom. The XD served me well for about 25 years.

After many years of service I opted for the Maxxum line. It's so long ago now but I'm pretty sure I ended up with the 8000 here in the US. One thing that can be said for Minolta was the Rokkor glass. I hope Sony continues that proud tradition. Sometimes I miss the old film days.
