Re: vs the Leica Q
1

Leica Q is the fastest focusing and one of the most enjoyable mirrorless I've used, the fact that it has gorgeous full frame image quality to boot is just amazing.

That being said, there's two significant problems for me, one is the colour which is just too bland straight out of the camera. It's very minor issue and can easily be fixed or even preferred by others, but for my travel and landscape photos, Fuji colour is more pleasing, despite not having the full frame sublimeness of the Leica lens.

Second is the face detect feature of the AF, Fuji and Sony nailed this one for me, I can leave the focus on the centre point only yet have the face detect turned on so I can be taking architecture or landscape photos one minute and turn to shoot family the next easily. But Leica and Panasonic has decided to do things differently, it's 'either' centre point without face detect, or face detect on and multiple auto focus points when there's no face in the frame, causing a lot of missed focus.

Hope that makes sense, so to answer your question X-Pro2 is not better than Leica Q's full frame IQ, and AF is more accurate although not as fast, but it's the first Fuji to come very close and perhaps even give better overall experience with the right lens.

Do you mean that the focus speed and general responsiveness are comparable to the Leica Q?

Could you please spend a few words about X-Pro2 vs Q in terms of AF performance according to your experience?

Are you happy with IQ as well (no pixel peeping) compared with the Leica?

Thanks
