Sounds like weak battery to me.. Often a weak battery will indicate full voltage but when put under a load voltage drops dramatically..
The Canon® provided 1200D 7.4V LP-E10 battery packs have low 860mAh, 6.36Wh capacity. They are a fair battery made by Panasonic Energy (Wuxi) Co Ltd in China.
I prefer Wasabi Power 7.4V LP-E10 1600mAh, 11.8Wh battery packs whose cells are made in Japan final assembly in China often found on Amazon and ePay for about $9.50 US each. Empirical evidence indicates they last more than twice as long during shooting for me..  I seldom use Live View and turn off Display screen using DISP button saving on battery draw, as screen drains the most energy from batteries..
