No more fun with 50-200mm+Oly 1.7x TC

I'm officially rescinding my recommendation for this set-up when used with NX30. The big problem is the AF speed and accuracy. I tried to find a way but the hit rate has been very low even with static subjects. To make matters worse the OIS on 50-200mm seems not very effective. In fact terrible. I'd be lucky to get half sharp with 2 stop difference. Once in a while I can get a sharp one with 3 or more stops but it's way too unreliable to be useful.

The lens itself is very sharp across the frame at 200mm on tripod with OIS turned off, but not very good for handholding. When the photo is sharp it's better than my Nikon 1 version of same focal length zoom, but Nikon 1 focuses spot on pretty much every single time even with the TC. But, with 50-200mm I have to shoot about 5 shots for 1 sharp photo with the TC. It could also be the AF of NX30. Often the choice of focus within the focus box by the camera seems a little off. And just one step too slow to catch a decent action.
