Hi everyone! I just purchased a Canon G9X today and look forward to learning how to use it. I've been an iPhone photo taker for years and in the past few months have tried both a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 and a Sony HX90V. Both had their strong points, but I really liked the Sony. Unfortunately it was an Amazon Warehouse Deal and it had issues so I sent it back. I was hesitant to buy another and have been unsure of which route to go. I decided to give the G9X a shot after reading some reviews and the forums here. Everyone seems to like this camera pretty well and I like that it has a 1" sensor.
I will mainly be using this camera for product shots and recording YouTube videos. However, I do want to learn a bit more about photography so I'm hoping this camera will be the tool to get my feet wet.
Anyway, I look forward to continuing to read your posts.
