Razor thin DOF. Why, just why ?

You know what, I'm impressed

The difference in effective aperture was only 1.67 stops, so not a huge difference, but still, the results were pretty similar. Sure I noticed some differences, but it wasn't as obvious as I expected. In fact I feel like I noticed more differences between the underexposed image and the properly exposed image (after post-blur).

I think for someone who rarely desires a blurred background, if the background/foreground is simple, and assuming they have the skill and programs to do this, I think it's a viable option for occasional use.
