EOS M 11-22 Does Death Valley

Rather than invest in the 16-35 zoom for my full-frame system, I decided to go with the Canon 11-22 for my ultra-wide. It worked out quite nicely on the road trip and held its own pretty well alongside the Sony A7. I did bitterly miss having a good EVF at times, but on other occasions the EOS M felt more quick and handy. I bought a second battery for the trip and almost didn't have to use it! (Wound up switching on the last night - just as the sun was setting with literally just a few seconds to go...)

Most of these samples have been through my Lightroom/Photoshop workflow...
