Re: My thoughts on the X-Pro2 coming from Nikon (D600)

I'm almost 70 with bursitis in both shoulders. I've shot primarily travel photography with Nikon gear since the 90's, but time has come to drop all that weight.

Already I've unloaded my 24-70 I carried everywhere from Monument Valley, to Bali, Greece & Morocco and the monstrous 80-200 which I hauled all over India, Bhutan, Burma in the old days. Nikon keeps getting bigger, heavier. I'm also seeing Nikon (and Canon) body owners using more Sigma Art Series lenses, Zeiss, Voightlander, Rokinon etc for their quality or lower weight in some cases.

I just bought the X Pro 2 and am unscrambling the new -to me- menu set ups. But the lenses and colors are awesome, the drop in weight is a blessing that I'll really appreciate on a three week trip to Italy in May (Florence, Tuscany & Cinque Terre).

My Nikon bag was getting too hard to get up into the airlines overheads on bad shoulders that it had to stop. Nikon, Leica users where I bought my Fujifilm had switched themselves and raved about it as much as all the online reviewers have.

Starting out with the 35 f/2 and the 18-135 (trashes your run of the mill kit lens) for my travels.

You're never too old to learn!
