Again, different scene. I have outlined the areas that show a CLEAR advantages of the 24-240 compared to the 28F2.

It should be quite obvious at F2 that the 28 is quite soft all over the image.

At F4 things improve but the 24-240 still has a clear edge except, perhaps, the very center.

Even at F8 the FE28 is only marginally better if at all.

Sorry, but this is not what I expect from a well-reviewed prime lens.

I REALIZE there are other advantages to the F2 prime such as bokeh wide open, lighter weight, smaller size etc., but as far as image quality is concerned I fail to see where it is clearly better than a 10x zoom at the same FL.

Does that make me a heretic?
