Hi everyone. I'm writing here because I find myself in a conundrum regarding my E-M1, and would like some input from other shooters. I've a fair bit of experience with cameras and photo equipment, but the E-M1 is my first "pro-level" camera.

"Pro" is marketing and hype. That label has been used for all sorts of things from software to cameras, etc..

As such, I was expecting great things out of it, some of which it accomplished, and some others that it didn't. …

Another big disappointment …

The micro four thirds system has several camera makers. Why not try one of the high-end Panasonic cameras, either the GH4 or GX8.

There are some people, a minority, I know, who actually prefer Panasonic cameras to Olympus. It's just personal taste but they ARE valid options.

I would have, if the GX8 rebates had happened a month earlier. Really, I'd much rather use that camera, as I like Panasonic's interface better. But I was seduced by the Olympus IBIS, which I have to say is uncannily good. Still, the GX8 would leave me in exactly the same place regarding lenses, and that's more critical to me.
