I've used the Canon 70-200 f4 L on my E-M1 with a Kipon adapter but haven't shot any birds with it. It works well and is very sharp. However, I have used my Canon 400 f5.6 L with the Kipon for birds and for the moment it has, at least temporarily, hosed down my lust for an Oly 300 f4. Focusing is OK (better than my memory of the 4/3 70-300) and the Oly IS works fine. Here are some examples:

Note this was taken at 1/80

The Koel above was taken through my dirty window.

I also have the Oly 75-300 II and certainly wouldn't call it a terrible lens. Here are some examples from it, though admittedly not all at long focal lengths:

This was hand-held

In response to your second question I'm very impressed with the Panasonic 14-140 II. It makes a great walkaround/travel zoom. I haven't used the Oly 14-150 so I can't compare that.

Cheers

Don
