It's different. Firs, you're getting new product. Second, it cost 50% - you cannot get canon refurb for 50% of the price.
However I'd blame samsung for not controlling supply of his parts and allowing resellers selling it to end customers.
And definitely it didn't kill the future of the system - Samsung killed it by stopping production. I'd like to buy NX1 and it's quaite difficult now in europe - obviously I don't want to pay full introduction price for 1,5 camera of a dead system. But I'm happy to pay 1000euro for body only. And no luck so far. BTW - NX500 for 700 euro as on amazon de is not even funny.
Maybe you can't get a canon refurb for more than 50% off retail but I've been able to.
Sure. Especially 24-70 2.8 or 70-200 2.8 or other expensive lenses. All you could get with that discunt is detached kit lenses. This is not the case here.
They run these types of sales every few months.
Not 50%.
I'd even call them better than the part store because they work just like new and have their full warranty. I'd rather get a full warranty refurb that works perfectly than a new untested product with a much smaller warranty period.
Who is talking about smaller warranty? It's shop vs service part here, both with full warranty.
I'm new to this type of photography. But I don't see what Samsung is doing much different than what canon is doing.
It's very different. Canon is never selling L glass though refurb channel, except cheapest 24-105 that is kit anyway.
Both are trying to clear out stock.
I doubt samusng is trying to clear stock by selling through service centers. This "offer" was available for people with knowledge since the begining of samsung system.
Samsung stopping production is the only real crime I can see here.
