Manual mode works fine with auto focus lenses, but not with manual adapter lenses. This doesn't happen with the NX20. Here is what happens:

In M mode on the NX300 with an adapted/no contact lens when I set the shutter speed at say 1" and ISO at 100, the camera basically ignores whatever I set for shutter speed and picks it automatically. What makes matters worse is exposure compensation doesn't work either.

So with adapted manual focus lenses M mode is basically ISO and aperture priority, and the camera selects its own shutter speed with no exposure compensation. This is totally broken.

This makes manual mode totally useless and appears to be a bug, or maybe some setting causing issues? Maybe I am just missing something, but I don't think this is correct.

May I ask if this has been solved already? My NX300M has the same issue.
