Pentax K-50 Lightroom profiles compared

I am comparing 3 lightroom profiles.  The Embedded (this seems to be basically how Pentax writes the DNG), Adobe Standard, and the K-50 DPreview Studio x-rite generated profile for colors/skintones and go through a similar comparison with my previous Sony A6000 and its profiles.

Differences are subtle but I'm practiced enough to be able to identify which is which by looking at thumbnails in the post preview.  Backlit shot in bright noon sunlight.

This shot is taken under the shade of an inset porch with potential color casts from exterior paint/door, etc.

Taken indoors with bounce flash with the potential of casts from wooden wall and mixed lighting conditions, etc.

IMO the Pentax has, and would deliver really nice skin tones off the bat for both golden directional light or bounce flash conditions especially with the K-50 DPR Studio x-rite generated profile.  The K-50 profiles seem to be usable across more various lighting conditions.  The K-50 profile created from DPReview Studio x-rite shot works well in various lighting conditions and tends to be the best pick for pleasing skin tones + accurate colors over all.  I played around with in-camera profile adjustments and they have zero bearing on the Embedded raw color profile, etc and for a RAW shooter only serve to change your image review colors (IMO Natural profile is actually the worst in that it has the most dark magenta reds on the rear LCD).

The Sony on the other hand, these lighting conditions are nearly best case for the Sony in my library (I have plenty of artificial lighting shots with Sony that are far far worse) and IMO its still a pain in the butt to work with...Camera Portrait profile is a technicolor Oompah Loompah art filter and has no use whatsoever.  The x-rite calibrated profile clearly does not translate well to bounce flash or natural light conditions...its obviously too pink especially with the afternoon natural light.  The Sony probably needs a x-rite portable with you taking a calibration shot and producing profiles for the many lighting scenarios you come across.

For the K-50 you can see how with the Embedded profile the reds are dark/magenta tone.  Adobe standard doesn't get purple hues on the jacket correct (too blue).  But the DPReview K-50 studio x-rite profile seems to work just dandy.  At a glance you can see how all 3 K-50 profiles are somewhat close, but each and every Sony profile is rather different from the other.
