Read posts are no longer syncronized between my phone and my desltop pc even though I'm logged in on both. Was this bahaviour changed recently?

Thanks

It is happening to me today with the same device and account. Went back into a thread that I read about 1/4 of, and none of it was marked read (except the OP, which the link had just led me to).

Looks like the problem is bigger than I thought. Everything that I've EVER read before a certain time today is marked as unread. I certainly hope that the webmasters have a way to merge "read" info that is current with an old backup, to mark as "read" as much as possible. If not, this is a huge disaster, as I will wind up reading many posts twice, and then getting frustrated and not reading posts I never read because I thought they might be redundant.

Same here.

My forum viewing activity since about 2/21/16 is now missing.

The dots and post color have reverted back to "unread" status.

It's never been device based. It's per your account.
The server has only been keeping track of what you've read from all devices for a few years. Before that, it was the cookies on your local computer account only.

It's not about syncing any more. As of a particular time today ALL messages turned to unread on my iPad, which I use 95% of the time.
All threads and posts that I've read were changed to unread a few hours ago. A bit odd for sure.

Cheers,

They are looking into this.
should be fixed now (fingers crossed)
I saw the described phenomena occur once (on March 10 2016) - prior to your post quoted above.

.

While it may possibly be the case that DPReview does not necessarily see the chromium-based Opera browser as a top priority for ensuring site-compatibility (?), when using the latest release for Windows (Opera Version 35.0.2066.92, running on WinXP Pro SP3) ...

... while not previously behaving this way (prior to roughly 2-3 days ago, or so):

I still receive (for posts made on threads that I have myself posted-to) "Notifications" as usual, ...

... however, left-clicking on "Mark all read" (located in the small pop-up window that appears when I left-click on the red-colored Notification Flag Indicator) no longer is clearing the red-colored flag-status.

(Additionally), after accessing and reading the thread(s) identified in the "notification(s)", when I return back to a main (DPR forum) web-page, the red-colored Notification Flag Indicator no longer is cleared.

.

Have found that (only if) I left-click on "Show all notifications" (in that same above-described pop-up window), I am (on that separate web-page) able to successfully "clear" the red-colored status of the flag - by left-clicking on "Mark all notifications read". The red-colored flag promptly clears (only in that case).

.

There are newly appearing site behaviors, and while I am thankful that the above-described work-around is functional, it would indeed be nice if the red-colored status of that "annunciating" flag indicator could (once again, as before) be more easily cleared as before (by simply left-clicking on the "Mark all read" located in the small pop-up window that appears when one clicks on the red-colored Notification Flag Indicator).

It appears that some changes may have been recently (in the last 2-3 days time) made to the DPReview system ? (If so), it would be appreciated if the DPReview "IT crew" (when possible) could have another look at the implementation of any changes made (and their collateral effects upon the Opera browser).

Thank You,

DM
