Hi, I have a Canon EOS Rebel T2i, which has been working well until I recently started to get the message "This function is not selectable in the current shooting mode". The problem is that this message blocks a significant part of the display and I can't find a way to get rid of it. The message is there all the time, even when I am not pressing anything. This message appears at CA, Full Auto, Flash off, Portrait, Landscape, Close-up, Sports & Night Portraits. However, it disappears when P, Tv, Av or M is selected. Any idea on how to fix this will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Did you manage to get this sorted?

I am having the same problem with my 650D. clearing all settings, formating card, firmware updating has not worked. I contacted Canon and they said it may be a malfuntion and emailed me a link with repair shops.

Of course, the repair shops cost a minimum of £85 labour then any parts are added to this.

I really can't be paying that right now. I was hoping there was an easier (cheaper) way.
