Just took delivery of a used D300 in great condition from Adorama for $189 the other day. Shutter count is about 20k. Feels great to have a D300 in my hands again, this thing is a beast.
That's a good price. I got lucky a couple weeks back and got 1 for $218 but it only had 597 clicks on it fro KEH.
puttin,
597 clicks?! Are you SURE that's all?! I don't mean to question, but that sounds ridiculously low! It's barely getting broken in, at that point! And I thought *I* had done well when I bought my D700 with around 4k clicks on it!
I checked it on 2 sites, nikonshuttercount and photome and both said the same thing. The camera looks like it was not used.
Puttin,
Wow! That's pretty surprising! I'm wondering if it was a case where the shutter was replaced, the camera cleaned up, and then put up for sale. Hopefully, for your sake, that WASN'T the case, and the camera, including all of the rest of the camera (buttons, dials, etc.), will last you well and long!
Good luck, and enjoy the camera!
Sam
I guess it's possible the shutter was replaced but the camera just looks like it was not used and all the buttons look new and feel tight like when new.
